TWRA will be hosting their annual duck blind drawing for Gooch’s at the Obion Indian Park on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Applications can be submitted from 7a.m. – 10a.m., with the drawing being held immediately after the last person signs up. There are approximately 750 hunters who attend this event each year. The Town of Obion would like to invite you to the drawing, where you can display your merchandise and sell your products. If you are interested in reserving a 10 x 10 (or larger) spot for free, please contact Amy at the city hall by calling 731-536-6242 or emailing her at amypitts@townofobion.org by Monday, July 28, 2014. Concessions will be provided by Fast Mac’s of Elbridge.

Obion, Tennessee is located in the southwest corner of Obion County adjoining US highway 51, which is a major link from Kentucky to Memphis, TN. The town has a population of 1137 residents. We have 2.0 Square miles within our city limits with 26.3 miles of paved streets. Our city has 500+ water customers and 400+ natural gas customers. In addition Obion also serves 200+ rural water customers. We are within a day’s drive of the major markets. We have the availability of drawing from the surrounding rural areas in this agricultural section of Obion County.
